Over a period of eighteen months over the years 2016/2018, a group of local, national and regional Civil society organizations in 16 countries, implemented a project aimed to explore how migrants are perceived in Europe and which actions take place in order to promote their active participation in society.

Location / Dates: The event took place in Amarante from 6/04/2018 to 8/04/2018
Short description: The aim of the event was to assess the local dissemination activities held in all partner countries, strengths and weaknesses. Partner met to argue on how to promote active citizenship in order to integration of migrants!

Short description: Local dissemination meetings carried out in 13 partner countries – from October 2017 to April 2018 – to disseminate the results of the activities carried out previously. Meetings involved civil society actors and institutional representatives active in the process of integration of immigrants.

Location / Dates: Belgrade (RS), 29th November 2017

Location / Dates: The event took place in Vienna from  13/09/2017  to 15/09/2017

Short description:  Participants took part at two meetings at FRA – European Union Agency for Fundamental Rights – and UNODC – United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime. The aim of the event was to raise up awareness on topic of human rights, to overcome potential attitudes of xenofobia, racism, intollerance and discrimination. Moreover, they have deepened the topic of trafficking in Persons and Smuggling of Migrants and their links with international organized crime.

Location / Dates: The event took place in Palermo from  21/05/2017  to 25/05/2017
Short description:  The aim of the event was to show participants how the integration of immigrants can be achieved through the active commitment of public institutions working at local level and of organized civil society and volunteers. Moreover, thanks to the meeting with some prosecutors committed in the fight against organized crime, t
he event gave a lot of insights on how smuggling is one of the business of organized crime.
