The Summit takes place on <strong>22\u201323 September at the Lo\u017eionica complex<\/strong>, bringing together European institutions, regional leaders, innovators, educators, youth organisations and civil society. On <strong>24 September<\/strong>, the Media Education Centre will host the <strong>After Summit \u2013 FUTURE<\/strong>, a strategic event designed to position <strong>Serbia and the Western Balkans within a stronger and faster synchronisation framework with the EU Digital Strategy and legislation<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>MEC as Co\u2011Host: A New Vision for the Region<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>As co\u2011host, the Media Education Centre is shaping the Summit as a turning point: a place where technology, education and peacebuilding meet to create a new vision for our shared digital future. For MEC, the Summit marks the launch of a new wave of digital literacy and human\u2011centred innovation across Serbia and the Western Balkans. AI, VR and AR become practical tools for education, creativity and community wellbeing. Digital inclusion becomes a right, not a privilege.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>The FUTURE Movement<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The FUTURE Movement provides the narrative backbone of this vision. Built on five pillars \u2014 <strong>Unity, Technology, Understanding, Reconciliation and Equity<\/strong> \u2014 it connects digital transformation with the more profound human needs of our societies. These pillars guide the selection of panels, speakers and themes, ensuring that the Summit is not only technically relevant but socially meaningful.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Themes and Impact<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Through this lens, the Summit will explore the following:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>ethical and human\u2011centred AI<\/strong> in education and public services<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>digital wellbeing<\/strong> and mental health<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>media literacy<\/strong> and rebuilding trust<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>VR\/AR for peace education and creativity<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>digital skills for all citizens<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>regional cooperation<\/strong> across the Western Balkans<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>alignment with the EU Digital Decade and AI Act<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The programme highlights innovators, educators, youth leaders, cultural institutions and regional partners who are already shaping the digital future of the Balkans.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>EUNEED \u2013 European Digital Strategy &amp; National Readiness<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>It would be an honour to welcome distinguished European leaders as keynote speakers for <strong>EUNEED<\/strong>, the session dedicated to the European Digital Strategy, governance models and long\u2011term readiness.
