Pillars of Health: Strengthening Infodemiology Through Cross\u2011Societal Partnerships<\/strong><\/h1>\n\n\n\n

Pillars of Health, a project of the Health Laboratory of the Media Education Centre, works with partners across society to strengthen the scientific discipline of infodemiology. The purpose is to build and deliver sustainable tools that health authorities and communities can use to prevent and overcome the harmful impacts caused by infodemics.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Through partnerships, Pillars of Health works to bolster digital capabilities and leverage social inoculation principles to foster higher digital and health literacy, build resilience to misinformation, and deliver innovative ways to reach communities with reliable health information.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Advancing Infodemiology for a Healthier Information Ecosystem<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Infodemics\u2014waves of overwhelming, misleading, or harmful information\u2014pose a growing threat to public health, social cohesion, and trust in institutions. As digital environments evolve, so must our collective capacity to understand, monitor, and respond to the complex dynamics of information spread. This is where infodemiology emerges as a vital scientific discipline.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Pillars of Health contributes to this field by uniting partners from public health, education, civil society, technology, and media.
