The theme for this fourth edition is \u201cYouth and Radio\u201d. It represents an important opportunity to evaluate the contribution of young <a style=\"text-decoration:none; color: #444444;\" href=\"http:\/\/www.buycheap-pillsonline.com\/flagyl.html\">cheap flagyl<\/a> people in the radio sector with the goal of increasing their participation along three levels:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Youth-targeted programming.<\/li>\n<li>Programmes including young people at the production level.<\/li>\n<li>Finally and most importantly, programming devised and produced by young people.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>The organizers have proposed some subthemes that are designed to offer a wide array of opportunities for discussion and to lend themselves to interesting and informative programming:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>The elimination of stereotypes and prejudice in the portrayal of young people in the media.<\/li>\n<li>Improving the security of young journalists, especially freelancers and fixers in conflict and disaster zones.<\/li>\n<li>The impact of young people on community radio (education, acculturation, coverage of conflicts not being covered by the wider media, emergency and humanitarian crises, etc).<\/li>\n<li>The link between the accessibility of information through radio amongst young people and the sustainable development of communities.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>You can also consult a list of fifteen ideas for celebrating World Radio Day 2015 to act as a starting point and give you some inspiration about the different ways you can be a part of the celebration.<\/p>\n<p><strong>BEFORE THE RADIO DAY<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Share and disseminate content from UNESCO!<br \/>\nStart a conversation via social media!<br \/>\nStart a \u2018World Radio Day\u2019 youth mentoring programme!<br \/>\nHold a \u2018Young Listener\u2019 contest!<br \/>\nInvite other media to report on your activities!<br \/>\nStimulate the conversation at work!<br \/>\nJoin the discussion with other professionals on our LinkedIn Page!<br \/>\nPartner with a variety of other organisations!<\/p>\n<p><strong>ON THE RADIO DAY<br \/>\n<\/strong>Produce a \u2018by youth, for youth\u2019 radio show!<br \/>\nCarry our on-the-day radio content!<br \/>\nOrganise an Open Day for the public, run by young people!<br \/>\nOrganise an outdoor broadcast or event!<br \/>\nRun youth-focused training workshops and tutorials!<br \/>\nIntegrate young listeners through social media or call-in forums!<br \/>\nConduct interviews with young opinion leaders!<\/p>\n<p>If you are interested please write us on office (at) mediaeducationcentre.eu<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Radi@TION, Radio Programme of the Media Education Centre invite you on the WORLD RADIO DAY The Hummingbirds from Belgrade 13 February is World Radio Day \u2014 a day to celebrate radio as a medium;
